Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information eScout collects, how we use it and the choices you have. We keep it simple: we collect what we need to run the service, and we never sell your data.

1.Information you give us

  • Account: your email address and password. Your password is stored securely by our login provider and we can't see it.
  • Profile: your display name and, if you add it, your Etsy shop name.
  • Your research: the keywords, listing links and shops you look up, what you track, saved ideas and private notes.
  • Payments: the plan you chose, how you paid (JazzCash, bank transfer or Binance Pay), the transaction reference, the receipt you upload and, if you add them, your name and the number you paid from.

2.Information we collect automatically

  • How much of your plan you have used this month, so we can apply plan limits.
  • Basic technical data, such as your IP address and request logs, to keep the service secure, stop abuse and fix errors.

We don't use advertising trackers or third party analytics.

3.Etsy data

eScout reads public listing and shop data through the official Etsy API, such as titles, tags, prices, views, favorites, reviews and sales counts. We store some of it so we can show history and trends. This public market data is not tied to you.

We don't sign in to your Etsy account and can't see your orders, buyers or messages. The term "Etsy" is a trademark of Etsy, Inc. This application uses the Etsy API but is not endorsed or certified by Etsy, Inc.

4.How we use your information

  • to run your searches, tracking and reports, and show them only to you;
  • to apply plan limits and check and turn on paid plans;
  • to keep accounts and the service secure and prevent abuse;
  • to contact you about your account, payments or important changes;
  • to understand which features are used, so we can improve them.

5.AI features

Some results include explanations written with AI. To create them, we send the keyword and a summary of the matching public Etsy listings to our AI provider. We don't send your email, payment details or private notes.

6.Who helps us run the service

We use a few trusted providers, and share only what each one needs:

  • Supabase, for our database, logins and file storage (including payment receipts);
  • our hosting provider, to run the website;
  • OpenRouter, for the AI explanations described above;
  • Etsy, whose API receives the search terms, listing IDs and shop names you look up;
  • a public exchange rate service, to show prices in other currencies (no personal data is sent).

We never sell your information. We only share it with others if the law requires it, or to protect our users and the service.

7.Cookies and browser storage

  • a login cookie that keeps you signed in;
  • a cookie that remembers if you collapsed the sidebar;
  • browser storage for your light or dark theme and the currency you picked on the pricing section.

These are needed for the site to work or to remember your choices. We don't use cookies for advertising.

8.How long we keep it

  • Your account and research stay while your account is open. You can delete any research from the History page at any time.
  • Payment records are kept for accounting and to handle disputes, even after an account is closed.
  • Security logs are kept for a short time and then deleted.

9.Your choices

  • See and change your details on the Profile page.
  • Delete research, stop tracking or remove saved ideas whenever you like.
  • Ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account and its data, using the contact details below.

10.Security

Your data is sent over encrypted connections. Each account can only reach its own data, and sensitive keys are encrypted. No system is perfectly safe, so please use a strong password that you don't use anywhere else.

11.Children

eScout is made for adults running Etsy shops. It is not meant for children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

12.Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change is important, we will tell you in the app or by email.

13.Contact

Until our support email is listed here, you can reach us on the JazzCash number shown on the Billing page (sign in first).
